Hi, there are good enough job opportunities for ECE students in both govt and private sectors. These are public sector companies, that either take applications based on GATE score and interview or hold their own exams and interview.

Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC), Coal India limited (CIL), Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), Neyveli Lignite Corporation limited (NLC) and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).

PSU’s that recruit many electronics and communication engineers every year are:
ECE engineers are in high demand but to get a job in the government sector, they have to face huge competition as India alone produces more than 2 lakhs ECE engineers thus getting a job in a PSU requires you to go through tough interview process.
