For hiring a manager for any organization, a combination of two qualities that top the ‘set of required skills’ list is leadership quality and team management. Any manager must be an example in front of his subordinates or team members. A manager should have required educational qualifications backed by experience that is diverse in terms of the tasks handled, and the technical knowledge should be up to date. The candidate for the managerial position must understand his accountability, the importance of treating team as a single unit, must not procrastinate the given work, maintain positive attitude among the team members and should not be partial on the basis of caste, creed, ethnicity or gender.
