To become a surgical doctor, you must pass your Class XII- Science stream, all subjects with more than 60% marks then, you can sit for entrance examination for admission in M.B.B.S course. It is a five and a half-year long course with mandatory rotating internship. Now you need to get yourself registered at MCI.
For specialization, you have to pursue MD/M.S. You have to sit for entrance exams once again and this time, it will be tougher than the MBBS entrance exam. This makes you a specialized/trained surgeon. After MD/M.S, you can opt for DM / MCh.
