How to become Dietitian after the graduation from Arts ?

my graduation will be completed next year and i want to peruse my career as dietitian and i m doing diploma in food and nutrition from IGNOU what should be done next to be a dietitian?

Here is the educational path for a dietitian or a nutritionist:
**B.Sc (Food Science and Nutrition) (This 3-year course only takes in students who have had studied Science in Class 12th.)
**PG Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics or 2-year long M.Sc (Nutrition)
**To become a certified nutritionist or dietitian, one must do Registered dietitian (RD) programs after completing six months training at Indian Dietetic Association (IDA)
or 6 months continuous internship (or 3+3 months) from recognized hospitals listed on the IDA website OR 2 year experience in a multi-specialty hospital as a full time dietitian.
Required Soft Skills:
1. Should be a good listener
2. Work well in a team
3. Aptitude for science
4. An undying interest in food and fitness
5. Understanding of people from diverse backgrounds
6. Respectful and warm

Hi Jaya, after completing diploma in food and nutrition you can go for post Graduate Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics or M.Sc. in Foods & Nutrition. At the postgraduate level, you can either do a one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition (DDPHN) or a two-year Master’s programme. The MSc Food and Nutrition allows you to specialise in one of these areas: Therapeutic Nutrition Public Health Nutrition Food Science The nutritionist/ dietician’s jobs like Researcher Consultants, Food Show Host, Sports Nutritionist. Nutrition Trainer, Administrative Nutritionists, Public Health / Community Dietitian. A fresher who has completed a course in Nutrition or Dietitian may draw anywhere between Rs.15000/ – Rs.20000/ . Several sports organizations, companies and factories hire these professionals for designing a healthy menu for their cafeteria, and you have option for Governmental, UN organizations, FMCGs, R&D institutes, schools and colleges etc.
