“I haven’t worked with any giant tech yet but I have come across a lot of blogs/interviews by their ex or current employees. The things that I have noticed from the collective reviews of work culture at these tech giants are:
1. Flexible office hours: Yes, the Silicon Valley companies like to give freedom to their employees. You can come down to office, if you wish to or if it is necessary, otherwise based on your understanding and repo with your manager/team, you may work from home or from anywhere in the world. Complete your work hours and target and nobody would bother you.
2. Work-life balance: While Microsoft/Google offer enough time to have a life outside work, companies like Uber/Apple- one who has shown immense growth within a few years and the other one who seeks perfection crazily- might take a toll on your personal life given high stress level.
As far as Office infrastructure is concerned, Google apparently/supposedly offers the best of it with its coffee bars, bowling alley, ball-pits and of course, super amazing tech-crazy peers!
