To pursue a career in journalism, one needs to have at least a graduation degree either in journalism/mass communication or must have done a literature course. You can begin with applying to various colleges such as Delhi University, IP University, Christ University etc. to clear your entrance exam for B.A. Journalism/Mass Communication. During the course, make sure to get exposed to the industry through internships at various media houses. Work on as many research papers as you can, it would be better if you start your own blog and update it regularly with news of your interested field. After graduation, apply for a post-grad course at IIMC, Xavier’s Institute of Communication, MICA, ACJ or The Delhi School of Communication. A post-grad degree along with meaty internships increases your chances of being hired by reputed media houses of the country.
