I am a fresher, and have recently joined a startup but do not the environment at our office. The work is good, even colleagues are good but my boss makes it a point to insult at least one person a day. That guy owns the company and therefore, we have no one to complaint to. With tough job market conditions, we cannot keep changing our jobs. Please let us know how we can tackle his misbehavior.

I believe even your colleagues would be willing to help you in this situation and wouldn’t mind coming forward to get respite from the fuming boss. One way of solving this issue is letting yoru HR manager knows everyone’s discomfot with boss’s behaviour and let him/her bring it up in front of the management or the boss himself. For this, you and your colleagues need to give a joint statement to the HR. In case it is a smaller organisation with no HR department, then directly address the issue with your boss/management. But all of you must speak in front of him rather making only one person the leader. Bosses with such regressive, egoistic attitude can never lead a good team or make a successful organisation. You should keep looking for a job in an organisation whose work and people both can support you to achieve better things in life. Good organisations never misbehave with their employees because they understand that their staff is their asset.
