Chartered Accountant (CA)

Chartered Accountant is one of the most aspired career option as well as one of the highest paying jobs. This course is a dynamic and challenging one; it not only involves theoretical studies but enough practical training also. This course is a two year long course not counting the training period. It is levelled at three different layers of course namely,Competency Professional Test (CPT) followed by Professional Competency Examination (PCE) and eventually final exam.It is most suited to people who have instinctive talent to deal with figures. The salary of the CA would range between 50K to 500K rupees per month depending on the commitment one can give.

How to study Chartered Accountancy: Before enrolling as CA student, one needs to pass the CPT and PCE with minimum of 40% in PCE. To take the final exam in CA course, one can join any of the following chartered accountancy institutes:

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA):

BBA is the first step of any commerce graduate aspiring to make a career in Business and Management, and it is a three years long course. One can go for MBA(Master of Business Administration) after doing BBA for better options. This field of study have different options like BBA Foreign Trade, BBA Management, BBA Finance, BBA Marketing, BBA Legal studies and many more. The salary for BBA graduate depends upon the corporate and the field they join but taking the average, the starting salary of such professionals is around Rs. 20K.

This field of study deals with various industries like that of Banking, Hotels and Restaurants etc. The remuneration for this field of studies ranges from 20K to 100Ks per month depending on the skills of the individual.

Where to study: BBA and BBM are similar courses of study and most of the colleges providing BBA courses also provide BBM courses as above.

The B.Com(Bachelor of Commerce) courses:

B.Com(honors in accounting and finance):

B.Com honors is a three year long degree course which mainly deals with the study of accounting, economics, banking, financial planning, etc. This degrees also provides entry to work in banks, audits and other private sectors as well as government financial sectors.

B.Com in banking and insurance:

This field of study deals with banking, accounting, insurance related subjects. With this degree, one can continue further specialised studies or enter the professional world with jobs in banks or insurance companies.

B.Com in Marketing:

This course of study deals with identifying the customers and managing a market. They mostly study about the strategies to boost the sales of the products, develop business with effective sales and communications techniques.
